Bio

Lucius Vorenus was a centurion in the 11th legion, according to Caesar's commentary on the Gallic War. What happened to him, after the brief introduction that Caesar gives, is unknown.

Rome Canon: What it says on the label. It is useful, for player purposes, to keep in mind that I am sticking with the chronology of the Rome television series, and a time line of the show's events related to historical mentions of the same is available here. Vorenus is plucked right from the series ending in 29 BCE, with him surviving the injury he was dealt in Egypt. Canon Vorenus is usually seen running around in places like

sixwordstories.

unter_allen Canon: Related to Rome canon above. Vorenus frequently returns to the City, something that frequently annoys him. He has a close friendship with Altaïr ibn La'Ahad (

one_who_flies). He also, for some reason, is quite fond of kiwis. He is played at, of course,

unter_allen and frequently appears at

dear_mun as well.

apromisedland: Vorenus lived in a ghetto part of the City until he was twelve, and he moved to suburbia with his parents, leaving behind his childhood friend Altair (

one_who_flies). He joined the police force at the age of 18, where he was partnered with Titus Pullo. While the two did not get along much at first, they soon formed a close friendship and acted as brothers. Vorenus married Niobe when he was twenty, after dating her for a year and a half, and they had their first child at 25 - Lucilla Octavia. Two years later, Titus Pullo was killed in the line of duty. Shortly after, Vorenus transfered departments and became a detective. He worked under the eye of Damon Gant (

swimmingusoftly) who treated Vorenus as a protégé. At age 27 Vorenus and Niobe had their second daughter, Julia Pulla. At age 35, Vorenus became police commissioner after charges of Damon Gant's corruption were brought to light. He worked and was able to make a significant dent in the mafia's business dealings, and ended his career at age 42 after the arrest of mafia boss Tony Stark and his bodyguard Altaïr ibn La'Ahad. His retirement lasted for all but a year, and he returned to his position as police commissioner at the age of 43. He has a working relationship with Tamaki Suoh (

king_atheart) and mayor Alfred Jones (

burgers_r_us) as well as a working relationship and friendship with Miles Edgeworth (

verily_ergo). Vorenus is a dour man with little patience for nonsense, having become extremely cynical over the years. However, he has a genuine love for his family and the few living friends he has left.
